This Page will contain information about OnShore Roofing, a roofing contractor I hired in South Flordia
4401 SE Commerce Ave Stuart, FL 34997
772-283-1505 or 1-888-ROOF-414
This is for Rich, more to come.
Yes Rich, this is a screw, in my driveway, with roofing tar on it. Much like the one in the tire of my wifes Mercedes.
Onshore Roofing showed up on site and immediately parked vehicles leaking oil on my driveway. They did not properly protect the driveway, the house or the patio from falling debris.
After hearing debris hitting my front door and house, I walked outside to watch tile falling fron the second story of my home, landing on the unprotected paving stones, shattering and peppering the front door. When I walked out, Rich the job supervisor asked if something was wrong. Obviously he saw my reaction. But until I said something they did not stop and cover the driveway.
Onshore Roofing left 5 sheets of plywood, underlayment, plastic sheeting and roofing tar in my driveway. Had I not been there to remind them my association did not allow this, it would have sat there overnight. They did not have a place to put these materials on their remaining truck so I opened my garage and helped them put it inside.
Onshore Roofing left the first day with oil stains all over the driveway and nails in my driveway. Tar on the side of the house, tar in the driveway and all over the garage door. Later that evening I walked onto my patio, it was dark. I stepped on a nail facing up. They did not protect the patio either. These remain today.
Rich, this IS oil, not AC condensate water.
The patio on December 20th, prior to painting on the 24th of December, after Onshore Roofings tear off was done. This was left overnight on the 19th.
The patio on December 24th, after the new paint.
The patio today, after Onshore Roofings cleanup.
The mess they left in the road, I cleaned this myself as my association has a $1500.00 security deposit for my roof.
I inspected their work on the roof. These are things I found. Unsealed seams, damage from ladder on dripedge, washers trapped in underlayment, creases and folds in underlayment, piercings in underlayment from tiles being dropped and or improperly placed on the roof.
These are pictures of tar on the house, tar on my neighbors house, debris in the yard, handprints on the house, a horrible roof vent covered in tar.
Onshore Roofing sent Rich to discuss the issues with me. Pior to his arrival I decided to go up and inspect the roof. I found seams not sealed down, aluminum washers sticking out of underlayment seams, folded and creased underlayment, places in the roof that walking caused the plywood underneath to sink. Rich promised to take care of these issues. He said to "trust him" and he would sort it out
Onshore Roofing returned and this time when they left I was not home. My wife returned and parked in the driveway and I had forgotten about it. The next morning she went to the post office and got a flat tire. I sent Rich a text and he quickly dismissed and issue even after I sent him a picture of a broken off screw in my driveway with roofing tar on it that I found when leaving to help my wife. The next morning I went to fill my hot tub and found my new garden hose covered in dirt and tar, and the nozzle coated with red roof mortar. I called Rich. He said he was in Palm Beach Gardens and would bring me a new hose within the hour. Two hours later Rich showed up with a hose and dropped it in my driveway.
They have a 10 year warranty on my roof. I believe I got a slapped together job and I have zero confidence in its longevity. This crew lacked oversight and Rich failed to do as he promised.
More pictures and videos of the work Onshore Roofing and what they left behind will be added... I do not recommend this company.
